How do I fill out a Restore Report?

When a domain name is restored after deletion, the Registrar has five (5) days to submit a formal Restore Report. Upon receipt of a complete report, the restrictive statuses will be removed. The following fields should be populated with the information:

  • Domain Name: sld.tld
  • preData: Contains a copy of the registration data that existed for the domain name prior to the domain name being deleted. Both XML and free text are allowed.
  • postData: Contains a copy of the registration data that exists for the domain name at the time the restore report is submitted. Both XML and free text are allowed.
  • delTime: Time the domain was deleted in the format 0000-00-00T00:00:00Z.
  • resTime: Time the domain was restored in the format 0000-00-00T00:00:00Z.
  • resReason: Enter a brief explanation of the reason for restore.
  • statement1 and statement2: you can enter any relevant information pertaining to the restoration request in free-form text format.
  • other: Supporting information goes here if needed

* Please note that the system does not validate the data entered in these fields.

* Please note that there are no strict rules on what needs to be entered in any of the fields listed above and there is no specific information required by the registry. Each field should contain relevant information regarding the request to restore in any format you’d like, except date formats.

Please review the XML sample below for more information.
