The AuthInfo code <auth info> is generated by the Registrar and required at the time a Domain name is created. It is most commonly used when a domain name is transferred and provided to the registrant so that the registrar can initiate the transfer commands, at which time the code is a required field.
The format for <auth info> requires a minimum length of 8 characters and a maximum length of 32 characters.
Additionally, <auth info> must contain at least one of each of the following three character types:
- Alphabetic character: ‘a’ – ‘z’ , ‘A’ – ‘Z’;
- Numeric character: ‘0’ – ‘9’;
- Special characters: Refer to the table in the attached document.
